I think the update for Exynos phones was to fix the display/pixelated issues on the front camera. There has been no updates yet for the snapdragon unlocked U1 firmware. I have a friend that flashed this u1 firmware already and it worked and the u1 sw version for some reason allows oem unlocking in the sw . Plus if it was that easy, many of us with snapdragon phones would have been rooted now……though my z fold 3 suits me just fine.
